End of Days Fear Inspires Restaurant's Apocalypse Burger

It's called an Apocalypse burger; a quarter pound of fresh ground beef sizzled up to perfection. But it's the topping that promises to send customers out with a bang. "Well, I would know that if jalapenos were in my stomach it would be a nice apocalypse in there, so I figured that's the most appropriate ingredient for an Apocalypse burger," laughed Ms. Baldwin.
Customers who noticed the Apocalypse burger on the restaurant menu board got a chuckle, while some considered the possibility that this really could be the end of days. "I'm still wondering because they've been wrong so many times. They could just be right this time, you know. It just makes you a little more scared," said Holly Diehl of Kingsley. She passed on the Apocalypse burger in favor of something that also has some kick. "I think I'm pretty good here with this hot wing pizza. It's pretty good," said Ms. Diehl.
I decided it was time to step up and tempt fate. "You're actually the very first who's been brave enough to try a jalapeno Apocalypse burger," laughed Ms. Baldwin. Anyone I work with will tell you that I typically bring a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch but since this is supposed to be the end of days I figured why not splurge. I topped off my Apocalypse burger with some ketchup and Mayan-aise -- if you'll pardon the pun. It was heaven at first bite but soon the burger started to bite back for my own personal apocalypse. It's a good thing I take something for stomach acid.
