Penn State to Begin Paying Fines

By: Jayne Ann Bugda
Updated: December 20, 2012
State College- Penn state university officials are scheduled to make the first of five annual fine payments today-- as a result of the administration's role in covering up the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

According to the NCAA, today's twelve million dollar payment will be held in a money market account.
An appointed task force will decide how to distribute the money to agencies that help combat child sex abuse.
In addition to the fine, Penn State has been banned from the postseason for four years, lost a number of athletic scholarships, and the football programs win total from 1998 to 2011 has been vacated,
