Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County - A murderer has escaped capture for five years and the murder victim's family continues their quest for justice.

Lee Vanluvender was gunned down in the woods of Monroe County five years ago. He was hunting just off of Hypsie Gap road when it happened. Lee was 22 years old.

His father, Tom Vanluvender, spent the anniversary hanging up flyers and hoping someone with information comes forward. He said, "It's hard every year that goes by just to think that somebody could do such a thing and still be out here doing their everyday life, every day things. It's really tough."

He said it is especially tough because Lee left behind a son. Sean is now seven years old. He often asks why he can't see his father. Tom said, "We tell him his dad is up in heaven and he's watching over him and - but then it's hard because he wants to go visit."

Tom wishes he had more answers for the boy. He sighed, "Hopefully somebody will come forward. I do believe there is somebody out there that knows something."

The family tries to keep Lee's memory alive. They tell Sean how Lee loved to hunt and fish, how he enjoyed martial arts, and liked helping others.

They want the killer to know they won't rest until justice is served. Tom said, "I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not giving up and I'm gonna make it my point to see that they are where they belong. Justice needs to be served."
