Slashing Victim Demands Justice

Nanticoke, Luzerne County-- Jennifer Mieczkowski of Nanticoke has scars on her face,head and arms in the aftermath of a slashing inside a Nanticoke Bar last New Year's Eve. She saus she knows who attacked her but wonders why an arrest has not yet been made. She told Eyewitness News, "I told them who did it I saw her attack me so why hasn't she been arrested?.I live with these scars both outside and inside every minute of everyday." Mieczkowski was attacked when she went into the Prospect Street Cafe Bar on New Year's Eve. The Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis told the I-Team, "It is one thing to know who did it it is something all together different to make an arrest and obtain a conviction. We have done an extensive investigation including interviewing dozens of people and even examined surveillance video from inside the bar. The case is moving in the right direction."
