Republican Incumbent Thomas Marino won his re-election bid. He faced Democrat Phillip Scollo.

Congressman Marino Talked with Eyewitness News about his victory. "We're going to continue to do what most Americans want us to do to lower this debt.  We cannot continue to spend over a trillion dollars more each year than we bring in, in this country.  So we have to protect social security, protect medicaid and make sure we live within our means like we do in our homes and we do in our businesses," he said.
