Williamsport, Lycoming County- Things turn cold at Williamsport's Bowman Field and it's not because of the skating rink being built there.

Sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning someone poked holes in the barrels holding the liquid that will be frozen to make ice.

The contractors putting in Airmen Pond at Bowman Field don't think it was an accident.

Rich Cubin, Vice President of Rink Specialists, says, "this is the first time we've encountered something like that. Whoever did it knew it was vital to the project and probably thought it would cause a delay. But it was done in a very crafty manner so that being said the show always goes on with us."

Anyone with information is asked to call police.  The Williamsport Outlaws begin their hockey season in two weeks.
