Scranton, Lackawanna County- Scranton police say an alleged drug dealer ate part of a marijuana plant in attempt to hide the evidence from investigators.

Police say 33-year-old Jeremiah Carmody ate the plant as officers showed up at his house to serve a search warrant yesterday.

Police seized four pounds of marijuana, digital scales, cash and other drug paraphernalia from the home.

Carmody was locked up at the Lackawanna County prison last night-- and arraigned on those drug charges just about an hour ago.
