Scranton, Lackawanna County - Friday's bad weather didn't dampen the spirits of a first-of-its-kind event in Lackawanna County.

People from across the country are flocking to Scranton this weekend for the Peach Music Festival.

Wearing ponchos and hoping for the best, thousands of music fans started filling the mountain all day Friday.

Mother Nature greeted most of them with rain.

"The weather is not going to keep a bunch of us down," Matt Hamblen of Virginia said. "We're dedicated fans, everybody out here camping."

Bands will play on different stages over the course of three days. People are also allowed to camp up on the mountain.

"I hope it clears up," Priscilla Jenkins of Mountain Top said about the rain. "It's gonna be fun."

While Friday's weather may not have been the best, music fans say if the bands play, they'll be there.

"It was hot and humid and a beautiful summer. All of a sudden we get here and it's just coming down," David Amentola of Massachusetts.
