Hazleton, Luzerne County--    Attorney John Rodgers says he was so outraged about the way the Penn State Board of Trustees handled the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal that he had to run for a seat on the board. Rodgers told Eyewitness News,"I think they dropped the ball in so many ways. They fired Coach Paterno for no good reason and withour due process. The board also did not respond to questions properly in the aftermath of the scandal."   Rodgers is one of 86 candidate vying for three seats on the board.Penn State Alumni can cast votes until May 3rd. Rodgers said, "The Sandusly scandal is just the start of bigger problems at the Penn State and much of it has to do wth an attitude, in my opinion, of arrogance."  The Board of Trustees has said repeatedly it dd what it felt it had to do in the best interests of the University. Rodgers responded, "Words are just words..actions are what counts and I will take action." Rodgers said the first actions he will take is to reinstate Paterno as coach in memorium and rename Beaver Stadium after the legendary coach.
