Carbondale, Lackawanna County - A Lackawanna County church congregation is struggling with a child sex investigation surrounding their pastor.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale celebrated its first Sunday mass since Father Russel Motsay was suspended from his priestly duties.

The Diocese of Scranton took action days ago when contacted by state police.

His accuser claims Father Motsay committed the crime in Wayne County

Father Motsay previously served at several other parishes and schools throughout Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.

He is suspended from priestly duties pending the outcome of the investigation.
