Hazleton Man Arrested On Assault and Kidnapping Charges

Hazleton, Luzerne County-A Hazleton man is locked up on kidnapping and indecent assault charges
Police say 26 year old Carlos Cortez got out of a car Wednesday afternoon and abducted a 22 year old pregnant woman.
It happened near Fulton court and East Diamond Avenue
Police say Cortez molested the woman while driving from Hazleton to Hazle Township.
The woman eventually dove out of a passenger window on Route 940 in Hazle Township.
The woman was treated at the hospital and released.
Police found Cortez's car which matched an eyewitness description and arrested him yesterday.
He is jailed on 150 thousand dollars bail and has a hearing next week.
