Police Identify Man Killed Along I-81

Plains Township, Luzerne County - Police have identified a man killed in accident along I-81 last night

as 52-year-old Daren Simonson of Plains Township.

The accident happened at about 8:30pm in the southbound lanes near exit 170B.

Traffic was backed up for nearly five miles and didn't move until close to 11pm.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Wyoming at 697-2000
