Wyalusing, Bradford County - With Valentine's Day around the corner, many men will be visiting or calling their local flower shop.

In part of Bradford County, after the historic flooding last year, the holiday is taking on new meaning.

Business is blooming again inside the Wyalusing Florist & Gift Shop along Route 6 in Wyalusing.

As workers prepare for the busiest day of the year, they're just happy to be back open.

"It's beena  long haul but we made it," owner Penny Hamilton said. "We're back up and running, bigger and better than before."

In September, the florist shop and the entire Wyalusing Creek Plaza was submerged by flooding from Tropical Storm Lee.

After a lot of hard work, the store is once again open to the delight of customers.

"I didn't know where else to go in Wyalusing," customer Kelly White said. "It's very hard to find a place. This suits a lot of needs for any gift-giving you need to do."

Many of the shop's customers have dealt with flooding of their own so they know how hard it is to recover.

"When I shop up here, this was all half-gone and down the bridge was terrible," customer Crystal Bushong said.
