University President Rodney Erickson was met with criticism and questions about the firing of legendary head coach Joe Paterno. He was booted out in November after child sex charges were filed against Jerry Sandusky and two top level university administrators.
Erickson has yet to reach out to Paterno -- but acknowledged feelings of the alumni -- that the school won't heal until things are right.
Last night the Board of Trustees said, "Given the nature of the serious allegations and the extraordinary circumstances then facing the university... Paterno could not be expected to continue to effectively perform his duties and that it was in the best interests of the university to make an immediate change in his status."
