Candice Kelly is the weekday news anchor at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00 & 11:00 pm on WBRE Eyewitness News. Candice first came to the area in 2004 as the weekend anchor/reporter for WBRE. In September 2006, she became the news anchor for our sister station WYOU during their interactive newscasts. Nearly two years later she returned to WBRE.
Candice got her start in television news after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University at Mankato. She first worked behind the scenes at KARE-TV in Minneapolis, MN and then made the switch in front of the camera at KTTC-TV in Rochester, MN. While there, she was a reporter, anchor and producer. She's also a three-time regional Emmy award winner and nominee.
Candice is a board member of the Earthly Angels Autism Fund of the Luzerne Foundation.
She is a Minnesota native but is proud to call Northeastern Pennsylvania home, because this is where she met her husband Tom. The two have a daughter named Grace. They share their home with Kyser the German Shepherd and Chester the cat.
