Newsmakers to Air Sunday, Oct. 17. Overcoming Trauma After Military Service

   When families Reunite: Overcoming trauma Issues after Military Service will be the focus of this Sunday’s Newsmakers on WBRE TV. 

    The public affairs program is hosted by  Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and Lead I-Team Reporter Andy Mehalshick.  

    They will have as their guests Michael Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Family Service Association of Wyoming Valley, Denise Carey, LCSW, Suicide Prevention Coordinator WB Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, and Debra Cudworth, wife of Iraq Veteran.  They are part of an upcoming conference for families of returning military personnel and health professionals.   They will discus some of the many issues the men and women returning home from military are dealing with daily.  They will talk about the help available to military personal and their families.  The discussion will also focus on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

      The upcoming conference will be held in November, there will be information about the conference which is offered free to the public.  

    Newsmakers will air this Sunday, October 17th at 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

 

on WBRE TV.  The program will rebroadcast on WBRE TV on Sunday, October 24th at 5:30 a.m.  It will also air on WYOU TV at 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 23rd.
