BARONS LOSE TOUGH ONE IN OTTAWA

THE SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE RED BARONS TOOK AN EARLY THREE RUN LEAD, ONLY TO SEE THE OTTAWA LYNX COME BACK FOR A 4-3 VICTORY THURSDAY IN CANADA. FORMER RED BARONS PITCHER TONY FIORE WENT EIGHT INNINGS FOR OTTAWA, GIVING UP THREE RUNS ON EIGHT HITS, WHILE STRIKING OUT SIX TO GET HIS EIGHTH VICTORY AGAINST THREE LOSSES. YOEL HERNANDEZ TOOK THE LOSS IN RELIEF FOR THE BARONS, WHO GOT TWO HITS FROM JIM RUSHFORD. THE TWO TEAMS WRAP UP THEIR SERIES IN OTTAWA FRIDAY NIGHT, AND THE BARONS COME HOME TO PLAY SYRACUSE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
