THE VICTORY PULLED THE BARONS TO WITHIN ONE GAME OF THE 500 MARK AND ALSO LIFTED THEM INTO FOURTH PLACE IN THE INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH STANDINGS, AHEAD OF BOTH OTTAWA AND PAWTUCKET, BUT STILL EIGHT AND A HALF GAMES BACK OF FIRST PLACE BUFFALO. DANNY SANDOVAL WAS THREE OF FIVE AT THE PLATE WITH TWO RUNS SCORED, WHILE CARLOS RUIZ AND NATE GRINDELL EACH DROVE IN TWO RUNS. ALLEN DAVIS GOT HIS FIRST TRIPLE A PITCHING VICTORY, THROWING SEVEN AND ONE THIRD INNINGS, GIVING UP JUST ONE RUN ON FIVE HITS WHILE STRIKING OUT FOUR.
