(Thursday, May 25) A Northampton County school was put on lockdown after a student brought weapons to school. Investigators say 18 year old Maxwell Brotzman of Walnutport was found with a loaded 22 rifle and two knives in a guitar case. A teacher spotted him in a hallway with the gun on his lap after first period and that`s when Northampton Area High School was locked down and evacuated. Officials say Brotzman never threatened to harm anyone and they believe he brought the weapons to school because he was having problems with his ex-girlfriend and was considering suicide. After an hour, he surrendered peacefully to authorities.
