(Tuesday, May 2) Police say a bank customer helped them catch a robbery suspect. State police tell us 25 year old John Lugo from New York entered the Honesdale National Bank on Route Six in Palmyra Township just before 3:30 Tuesday afternoon and handed a teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. Investigators say the teller handed him the money and he fled in a Ford Taurus. Police tell us a customer from the bank then followed him into the White Sands Development, where he abandoned the car and fled into the woods on foot. The customer waited at that scene until police arrived. Lugo was later caught without incident.
