Massive College Party Leads to Massive Arrests

(Tuesday, May 2) Police say a college party in the Poconos got out of control. 25 people were arrested - many of them underage, and two dozen kegs of beer confiscated. The party in downtown East Stroudsburg was advertised. Fliers called it the biggest party the borough had ever seen. The problem is, you can`t charge people 10 dollars a head to come to a beer party, and you can`t allow minors to drink. Police say, that`s just what happened. They tell us all kinds of charges were filed, including underage drinking, being drunk in public, and getting out of control. Cops say the two separate parties were really one because their backyards were close. Investigators say they took about two dozen kegs of beer and 57-hundred dollars in cash collected by the hosts to cover the cost of beer. The partygoers were not part of any fraternity or college group.
