(Thursday, April 20) The Dallas Township police officer who`s accused of killing his wife, then trying to pass it off as suicide, will head to trial. Prosecutors called seven witnesses to the stand Thursday during 35 year old Jeff Dennis` preliminary hearing. The witnesses detailed a stormy marriage that led up to a bloody crime scene. Investigators say Dennis shot his wife Carli in the head back in February, while she slept. Defense lawyers say Dennis didn`t do it and they intend to prove it. Both sides say the trial will come down to a battle over forensic evidence.
