(Wednesday April 19) An elderly couple in Scranton woke up early this morning to find a pair of burglars in their bedroom. Cops say two men in their early 20`s broke into the couple`s home in the 900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue through a window around 4:30 Wednesday morning after cutting the phone lines to the house. The bandits ransacked the house before waking up an 87-year-old woman inside. She was shook up, but not hurt. Police say it may not have been a random act. They tell us burglars who invade a house like that usually do some pre-planning and case out the place beforehand. Those burglars are still on the loose.
