(Friday, March 31st) After more than two months of investigating, police make an arrest in the case of a man who was run over in Olyphant. 24-year-old Jennifer Schaffer of Olyphant turned herself into police at about 4 PM Friday afternoon. A grand jury investigation found enough evidence to charge her with running over Jeffrey Kashmer on January 4th. Police say Schaffer and Kashmer were both legally drunk during the incident. The two did not know each other. Officers also say they still don`t know why Kashmer was lying in the street. But they do know all of his injuries were caused by Schaffer`s vehicle.
