Updated: January 7, 2009
(Friday, March 17) Emergency crews say a Luzerne County crash that leaves one woman in the hospital could have been caused by an unknown medical condition. A woman in her late 30`s from Mountain Top lost control of her van just before eight Friday night on 309 northbound in Wright Township and went into a ditch. She ended up trapped in the car and it took crews about 10 minutes to free her. Emergency crews then took her by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Traffic on 309 was down to one lane while crews cleared the scene.
