(Sunday, March 5) A Lycoming County woman is behind bars, charged with stealing from two churches and using the money to buy crack cocaine. Cops say Arilyn Kurtz took the money from the Faith Alliance Church and the Oak Grove Church, both in Old Lycoming Township, in late February. Investigators say Kurtz asked for money to pay her rent. Instead, she used the money to buy drugs. Cops say she even used fake names to get the money. She faces theft charges and charges of receiving stolen property.
