Briggs Defense Rests Its Case

Closing arguments in the Dustin Briggs murder trial are set to begin Monday morning. The defense rested its case Thursday. The prosecution then called one rebuttal witness to the stand, a neighbor of Briggs` father, Arlan. Dustin Briggs is accused of killing two Bradford County sheriff`s deputies in March of 2004 when they tried to serve an arrest warrant on his father`s Wells Township property. If convicted, Briggs could face the death penalty.
