New Motives Emerge in Baseball Bat Beating

In Lackawanna County, the District Attorney says he has a case of attempted murder on his hands. Aaron Bernotovitch, Lauren Coyle, and Doris Cordaro, who were originally arrested for beating Joseph Brizinski in Archbald, are now accused of trying to rob and kill him. Police say the three beat Brizinski with a homemade baseball bat and one of them tried to shoot him with a stun-gun. Bernotovich originally told us that it all started when someone "messed with" his girlfriend Lauren, but police say there was a deeper motive, to steel the victim`s money and drugs. Police say Brizinski came out of a coma last night at CMC
