Two Children Killed in Crash

(Sunday, January 8) Two young children are dead after an accident last night in Luzerne County. It happened on Route 115 in Bear Creek Township around 6:00 PM. State Police say a one-year-old and a five-year-old were riding in a SUV, when the driver lost control, and hit another vehicle head-on. The SUV then went off the road and down an embankment. The driver, Jenny Harris of White Haven, was thrown from the vehicle, and is in serious condition. The two kids were taken to a hospital in Plains where they died. The driver of the second car was not hurt.
