The new year brings the swearing in of new officials. In Centre County, both a new district attorney and police chief will be handed the still unsolved case of missing former D.A. Ray Gricar. Tuesday was Michael Madeira`s first day as Centre County D.A. and he has moved into what used to be Gricar`s office. Madeira not only inherits the office but also Gricar`s case. Madeira says he will soon meet with Bellefonte`s new Police Chief Shawn Weaver to discuss the investigation. The case captured the country`s attention. Sightings of Gricar poured into the Bellefonte police, including a caller who said Gricar was spotted in Oprah`s audience. The Oprah show sent tapes for review, but the report proved false.
