PITTSTON TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- Two Luzerne County men were run down and left for dead. There are still no arrests.

The hit and run happened in Pittston Township in January of last year. Two men riding their bikes on the Pittston Bypass were run down.

20-year-old Mike Inman says he's just glad to be here today. "It takes a real heartless person to hit somebody and not fess up to it. That's all I have to say," he said.

Inman had numerous injuries, including a broken pelvis. His friend Andrew Hughes was also badly injured.

The men say they had just cashed their paychecks form nearby Walmart. Without warning they were struck down. One of the bikes was dragged away.

"Do the right thing, you know? Two kids got hit. People seen it. The Pittston Bypass is one of the busiest roads around here. Somebody saw something. Nobody came forward. So do the right thing," said Inman.

Assistant Police Chief Len Trotta says they think the hit and run behicle was a white SUV, possibly a white Ford Explorer. “We followed up on every lead, but we are hoping that someone knows something and they will call Pittston Township police," said Trotta.

For Mike Inman, every day is a blessing. "I just want to say I’m still living, still breathing, 10 times better. I’m happy to be alive, happy to be moving around and back to myself."

If you have any information call 9-1-1 or Pittston Township police. You do not have to give your name.
