An industrial accident crushes a man`s legs in Luzerne County this afternoon. Emergency responders spent nearly an hour trying to free a worker from a cardboard packing machine at Waste Reduction and Recycling in Hanover Township. The man, who`s name has not been released, was apparently stepping on some cardboard pieces when his legs became trapped in the machine. Firefighters say his injuries are severe and that the high tech equipment slowed their rescue. Chief Stanley Browski: "It`s difficult because with all the hydraulic equipment everything had to be done manually. We had to move a lot of cardboard to get to him." Emergency crews flew the injured man to CMC in Scranton. Firefighters say he was conscious and talking when they pulled him from the machine.
