Fatal Hit and Run Accident 04/02/06

The horse was also hurt in the accident. The driver in the accident took off. It happened on Main Street in Blossburg Boro around 7 Saturday night. Investigators say 59-year old Barbara Vroman of Roaring Branch was walking her horse along the road when a driver hit her then took off. Vroman died at the hospital. Her horse was taken to a veterinarian and is expected to make a complete recovery. Police did find the car involved in the crash just after 7-this morning. No word on criminal charges filed in the case.
