breaking news
A former nurse and self-confessed serial killer, Charles Cullen, did not apologize to his victims` families at his sentencing today.
The hearing was the first opportunity families have had to confront him.
To avoid the death penalty, Cullen pleaded guilty to killing 29 patients under his care in New Jersey and Pennsylvania hospitals... and trying to kill six others.
But he says he may have killed as many as 40... he just can`t remember.
Now he`ll spend the rest of his life in prison. A judge sentenced him to two consecutive life sentences.
Cullen is charged with killing several people from our area... including Matthew Mattern of Shamokin, Irene Kraff of Tamaqua, William Park of Franklin Township, and Stella Danielchick of Larksville.
