Crime-Fighting Cuts 11/16/05

In Lackawanna County, law enforcement officials are concerned about proposed budget cuts that may hurt programs designed to keep kids away from crime. Officials say juvenile intervention programs will suffer the most from those proposed cuts. Now law enforcers are coming together with a state-wide campaign to fight for the programs. (Chief David Elliott: "Law enforcement funds are already stretched too thin. This house cuts would stretch public safety agencies to the breaking point." Officers say they are supporting an organization called *Fight Crime, Invest in Kids."
