Groundbreaking for New Wilkes-Barre Fire Station 11/7/05

A ground breaking today for the new firehouse at Hollenback Park.
The station is part of the city`s comprehensive fire plan which will dedicate 50-million dollars to the Wilkes-Barre Fire Department over the next five years.
The new fire house is located mid-way between the Conyngham and Parsons stations.
Mayor Tom Leighton says the station will provide more centrally-located fire protection to the entire city.
