SOME PEOPLE SAY THE FIGHT WAS A PROBLEM OF RACISM. REPORTS SAY THE FIGHT STARTED AROUND HALFTIME OF THE GAME BETWEEN PANTHER VALLEY AND MINERSVILLE FRIDAY NIGHT. WITNESSES SAY IT BEGAN WITH TWO YOUNG MEN, BUT QUICKLY GREW TO INCLUDE NEARLY 30 PEOPLE. NUMEROUS ARRESTS WERE MADE. ONE STUDENT WHO WAS PUT INTO CUFFS BELIEVES THE FIGHT WAS RACIALLY MOTIVATED. LANSFORD`S MAYOR WASN`T AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT BUT HE DID TELL WBRE NEWS HE DID NOT THINK THIS INCIDENT WAS RACIALLY MOTIVATED.
