Wilkes-Barre Drug Raid 10/21/05

Two Wilkes-Barre residents are in police custody following a joint investigation between the Luzerne County drug task force and the State Attorney General`s Bureau of Narcotics. 32-year-old Melody Tanouye and 26-year-old Mario Jones were arrested today. Undercover agents made 14 purchases of marijuana over the past several weeks, ranging from 1/4 pound to 2 pounds of marijuana. Agents raided Tanouye`s home today and seized 4 pounds of marijuana, a small amount of herion, $9,000 cash and a handgun. Neither suspect was able to post bail.
