Jones To Head To Trial On Murder Charges 9/26/05

The man accused of brutally murdering an elderly Wilkes-Barre woman will go to trial on the charges. A preliminary hearing today for 35 year-old Brian Jones who is charged with the August 2nd murder of Mary Leo of Wilkes-Barre. Jones admitted to wbre news in a jailhouse interview last month that he was under the influence of drugs when he staked out, then murdered 87 year-old Mary Leo in her South Wilkes-Barre apartment. Jones said he was planning to rob the place for drug money. A magistrate bound over all charges against Jones today. It`s not known what move Jones` lawyer will make since his client confessed to the crime.
