First Day of School for St. Rose Academy 8/29

It was the first day of classes ever at the new St. Rose Academy in Mayfield today. The school opened because parents and students put forth a big effort to stay together after the Scranton Disocese closed Sacred Heart School in Carbondale. St. Rose Academy calls itself a roman catholic institution but is not under control of the diocese. It operates in the Heritage Valley building near the Casey highway.
