A Greentown mother is spreading the word about a little known disorder her four year old daughter is battling.
Meadow Quinn has an uncurable disorder called neurofibromatosis or NF. That`s where benign tumors grow on her nerves throughout her tiny body. One in every 4,000 births are affected by NF.
Since May is N-F Awareness Month, Meadow`s mother is hoping more people will learn about it and help her find a cure.
Lisa is trying to raise at least $10,000 for her daughter and others like her so they don`t have to struggle with this life-long disorder.
There are a couple of area fundraisers to raise money for NF research including a charitable tea party at The Corner Tea House in Hawley on May 22.
Lisa is also running a Labor Day Marathon to raise the $10,000.
We`ve set up two links on our website where you can make a donation to fight neurofibromatosis.
