Couple Accused of Child Abuse 3/22/05

A Wayne County man and woman are accused of abusing two children, including burning one child`s tongue with a cigarette.
Police say, the Clinton Township couple locked their two sons, who were 13 and 15 years-old in the basement, forced them to sleep on fencing and wood crates, punched and beat them with a broom, and burned one boy`s tongue with a cigarette.
The boys are now in the custody of the county. The couple, whose names have not been released is free on bail and will have a hearing on Monday.
