Mistrial for Local Radio Station Owner 3/4/05

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
The case against radio station owner Doug Lane was supposed to wrap up today but instead, the judge stopped everything by declaring a mistrial. On Thursday, several charges were thrown out against Doug Lane because the statute of limitations had run out on the allegations of one man who claims he was a victim. The defense argued the jury was tainted by his testimony. Judge Michael Barrasse agreed and ruled a mistrial. First Assistant D.A. Gene Talerico says he also agreed with the ruling after realizing the statute had expired. The D.A.`s office says it will retry Lane, as soon as a month from now.
