23-year-old Robert Davis of Pottsville and 23-year-old Joseph Holland escaped from the Schuylkill County Prison sometime late yesterday afternoon or early last night. Police are also looking into whether the two inmates took two cars reported stolen in Schuylkill County`s Seltzer area yesterday evening. Holland is six foot one and 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a winged panther on the left side of his neck, Asian character letters on the back of his neck, a tattoo of the word "outlaw" on his forearm, and a tattoo on his bicep. Davis is six foot one and 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on the inside of his right arm. The two stolen vehicles are a 1984 maroon Buick and blue 1990 Ford Tempo. Police consider the men possibly armed and definitely dangerous. Davis is a convicted rapist and Holland was recently arrested on theft charges.
