Winter Storm Causes Scattered Power Outages

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
The combination of rain and snow made for big problems in the Poconos. Trees fell onto lanes on interstate 80 west and eastbound. This area is about a mile before the Blakeslee exit. Penndot crews told us they could barely keep up with the amount of trees falling. It`s causing power outages as well. Portable stop signs were set up here in Blakeslee at the intersection of 940 and 115. Crews are trying to get power restored to more than 38,000 people in Monroe county. And there are other power outages throughout our viewing area.
