Windy Weather Problems

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
Today`s strong winds caused some problems in certain spots. The gusts knocked down trees and even cut power to some people. In Moosic, along Washington street, just outside the K-mart plaza, a 400-pound steel traffic pole came crashing down into the roadway just before one o`clock. Police had to re-route traffic while utility crews installed a temporary light. Luckily no one was hurt. We also had reports of traffic lights out in Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton today because of the wind.
