Operation Safe Guns

The Luzerne County District Attorney`s office announces a program that offers gift certificates, for guns. It`s called Operation Safe Guns, and it`s the first time Luzerne County has had a gun buy-back program. They will be using a federal grant to give out Wal-Mart gift certificates, in return for the guns. A handgun will get you a 50 dollar gift certificate, a shotgun is worth 75. Here`s where you can turn in your guns for gift certificates this week: Thursday night, from six to nine at the Emergency Management Center in Wilkes-Barre. On Saturday from ten to two and the Pittston Police Station. On December second, from six to nine p.m. at the Hazleton Police Station, and on December 16th, from six to nine p.. At the Dallas Township Police Station. December 18th, from ten to two at the Nanticoke Police Station.
