DEP Cleans Up Potentially Hazardous Material

Environmental Experts are spread out across the area, helping people remove potentially hazardous materials swept away by Ivan`s flooding. Environmental experts granted emergency permits to at least 50 homeowners and municipalities so they can clean up nearby creeks The DEP is also helping people remove any hazardous materials and home heating oil tanks. There are so many items to be picked up, the DEP is asking some landfills to extend their hours. Experts are also helping homeowners disinfect their wells.
