Merli Remembered

The New Valley Community Library dedicated a special display- to honor Merli on Thursday.
The Congressional Medal of Honor, he won for heroism during the Battle of the Bulge -is now a permanent display...Merli`s sons were on hand for the dedication and had this to say.
Dr. Geno Meri said " My dad would want all of us her to be award of service to this country to be decidated to what we do, have integrity and character.
Philip Merli said
" One of the main things pop did for us was taught us to be contributors to society to give as much as we could so that people could benefit by our actions and that was the whole premise of his life.
By the way, Merli`s medal is the only one on permanent display- anywhere in the U.S.
