Raising Money for HIV and AIDS

People came out in Wilkes-Barre today for the 8th annual `We care HIV and AIDS support network fundraiser.`
The theme this year was "Viva Las Vegas."
W-B-R-E`s own Kim Martucci and Lyndall Stout were all dressed up, co-hosting the event.
Aside from all of the music, games and magic tricks for the kids... the event is also educational.
"HIV could affect anyone not just the gay community. It could affect the straight community as well and we`re finding out the use of heroin that`s coming into NEPA, I-V drug use is 80% means of transmission in the valley."
About 280 people attended this year`s event. The group hopes to raise between 6 and 7-thousand dollars.
